We ended the 2022-23 academic year with an unforgettable Speech Day and performance. Once again the masts of the St Margaret’s marquee were erected, with a new seating layout for this year. Parents and loved ones could sit together in groups around tables, with fresh flowers and refreshments provided.

Speech Day was the perfect occasion to celebrate a wonderful year at St. Margaret’s. Trophies and prizes were awarded, including the House Cup which was won by Rolfe. The Year 6 Heads of School gave a fabulous address and Year 5 were awarded their prefect ties and new roles for next year.

And what better year than the Coronation Year, to welcome back Claudia Gray, star of Netflix series The Crown and director of previous performances! Having been a St Margaret’s parent, she gave some sound advice about enjoying every minute of their time at this special school.

We were then delighted with another fantastic performance of ‘Our Story’ and the Composition and Orchestra Clubs’ very own piece ‘Rondo’.
The end of year performance was a play called ‘Our Story’ written and directed by our brilliant drama teacher Mrs Gostlelow, starring our Year 6s and supported by the rest of school. Everyone sang and danced their hearts out, making the audience burst with pride.
