St. John's Ambulance visit to Transition

As part of our People That Help Us topic, we were visited on Monday the 5th of October by the St John's Ambulance. Kim and Kevin began by showing us the different vehicles that they use. We were allowed into the back of the ambulance and also sat in the driver's seat. Kaitlin was chosen to sound the sirens, an exciting first day for her!
Back in the classroom we looked at the first aid kit that Kim carries with her. We tried out various equipment such as gloves, plasters, collars and leg braces. Later on we made our own first aid boxes and ambulances. We had a fantastic morning!
