£1070 so far from our HIKE FOR HAITI!
29 January 2010Year 6 decided that they would like to do something to help the people of Haiti after their recent disaster. As the Haitian flag is red and blue, everyone came to school dressed in red and blue. We walked around the school grounds (as a school) and then the Prep. Department 'hiked' to the village church where Year 6 conducted a short service. Each form created a banner which was left in the church for the Village Haiti Service on Sunday. Any donations will still be gratefully received.
SO FAR WE HAVE RAISED £1070.27!
What a fantastic effort. Thank you everyone concerned. We are also creating a book of thoughts from all the children, which we will send to a school in Haiti.
